Tom Mac Inerney
Project Manager in the Local Government Computer Services Board (LGCSB), Ireland
He has been active in the management, development, implementation and support of computer systems for local government in Ireland for many years. He has acted as a project manager and consultant on a wide range of applications in many areas including financial systems, public information systems and the internet.
He has been a member of the IT Steering & Strategic Planning Committees of many local government and semi-state organisations. He has participated in a number of major EU funded ICT projects including BORDER (Business Opportunities for Regional Development and Economic Regeneration), ELADIS (European Local Authority Data Integration Study) and KEeLAN (Key Elements for Electronic Local Authorities’ Networks).
He has represented the LGCSB on ELANET since 1978 and is a member of its Steering Committee. He has been involved in the organisation of previous EISCO conferences in Brussels, Malaga, Cagliari and Aalborg. Before joining the LGCSB he worked in IT for the Irish Revenue Commissioners.
