Rector elect of the Jagiellonian University, Poland

During 2002-2005 pro-rector on development at the Jagiellonian University. Studied physics at the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University. In 1997 received professorship.

He works as a associate proffesor in Photonics Department of Physics Institute. Since 1977 he is cooperating with the University of Orlean and with the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Washington DC. He worked for Hahn-Meitner Institute in Berlin. He is a member of Polish-French Committee on Plasma Research and a member of Polish Physics Association. In October 2002 he received title of Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Orlean.
